Welcome to the Black Country Neurological Alliance new website - www.bcna.org.uk

The Black Country Neurological Alliance (BCNA) is an umbrella organisation, led by people who are affected directly or indirectly by a neurological condition. We are part of the Neurological Alliance (www.neural.org.uk) but are focussed on the people of the Black Country, bringing them closer to services available from both statutory and voluntary bodies.

Our vision is that any person affected by a neurological condition, living in the Black Country, will have access to all the resources and support they need to enable them to live an active and fulfilled life. Chairman Peter Cornell says,

"Our aim is to promote a better understanding of neurological conditions through the provision of information, by sign posting to support services and influencing local decision makers in order to increase the opportunities for individuals to make informed choices that will enhance their quality of life."

We support all four boroughs, Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton, holding various events in each region.

Our exciting new Cafe Neuro project has just celebrated its first birthday. Click here for more details about Cafe Neuro or see our event pages.

The shortage of Neurological Consultants continues. BCNA remains very concerned about this and have been campaigning on for the last two years. In November 2017 the BBC broadcast a programme on Radio 5, which is still available on “Five Live Investigates” with Adrian Goldberg. In it he refers to a report from the National Neurological Alliance, in March 2017, which is still relevant and can be found here.

We welcome new supporters and if you would like to become a Neuro Supporter, we would love to hear from you. More information is available on our News Page or you can just get in touch with us.
